:) hello as you can see I'm new to this forum. Would like to buy VW Camper in outstanding condition both inside and out. I Live in Ireland but am visiting London/UK in September so if there's anyone who wants to get rid of one please get in touch. Also are there any decent VW outlets in Southern England that I can 'look see.' Last question, what year do you consider to be the best VW Van ever produced?

hi the best year for vans that were made was 1963 and the best model has to be the fire engine :D

please see my other post for details of how to obtain one of these mechanical wonders ;)

For bay windows, it has to be the 'K' plate?

Early looks with low front indicators and small rear lights, but twin port engine and discs up front.

T25's lost it as soon as they started when they went water cooled, and didnt really think it through. Now, early air cooled '25s are the business, as long as they are tin tops, of course.

Splits? Anything post '53 is such a styling comprimise. IMO.

Thanks for the replies - and is there such a thing as a pre 53? I owned a VW Camper back in 79/82 and it was a dream. Green, Pop up roof, hammocks, Holdsworth conversion - I now have a hankering to get another one - but perhaps I should go for the K plate! I don't have a clue so I hope you don't mind if I pick your brains. Also where can I see them to buy them? I won't be in England long - just three days. Clem your not selling yours?
