Hi,
wonder if anyone can give me a clue how to top up the oil in my T25 5 speed box (code 8E i think). My baby has been marking her territory for a while now, don't want to get stuck!
any help appreciated!

5 speed Eh! I'm impressed. My '86 T25 has only 4. Assuming the boxes are similar externally, I have just put 'SLICK 50' in mine because it was making a little noise. The job was only minor but the hassle was major. The empty plug is under the box at the back but the fill hole is 1/2 way up the right hand side at the front in the very small space between the gear box and the gear change mechanism bracket. To open either requires a LARGE size Allen Key. To get round my lack of large Allen Keys, I found a bolt with the head of the right size and locked 2 nuts onto it to give spanner purchase. This also allowed use in the small space provide (where a socket ratchet would not have fitted). Once you have the fill hole open, it is the devil's own job getting the oil in. I recommend the use of a fairly long tube sealed to the top of you oil bottle (can't say how you might seal it) and use whatever awkward space you can find. Be prepared to stink of Hypoid Oil for a day or 2. Use Oil proof gloves and HAVE FUN! By the way, I would recommend 'SLICK 50' additive both in the engine and the gearbox.
Hope this helps

I removed the gear linkage making access to the fill-up plug far more accessible - easy job. Plus point is that I could clean and regrease the joint before refitting.
