Sorry..can someone help me out please? Van for sale ..I think!!

Hi guys and gals,

I am sorry to write this and I may annoy some members but I was wondering if someone would be able to help me out with a problem. Its a long story but I have my brothers vw camper to dispose of and I have no idea what its worth...could one of you guys/gals help me out and give me some idea of how much and how I should sell it on his behalf (long story)

Here are some details :

VW Devon Camper. 1972 1600cc Brand new engine
175,000 miles, 150 on new engine.
MOT until October 2006.
Recently spent £1050 on getting it through MOT (includes refitting engine, new petrol tank) done by cares garage in Crowborough ( Sussex),
Needs attention to Bodywork and Interior. but would make and excellent project .

My brother is seriously ill and that is why it is for sale, I cannot ask him about the price and that is why I was hoping you can help?

Hi, I am new to the forum, but have had many years owning and running T2`s ( and a T1) I am currently searching for a new van. However, without pictures, it would be difficult to give a price. How bad is the bodywork and interior? If you can post some pics, it might help.
I`ve looked at loads recently, prices for a van in need of body / interior work seem to be advertised at between £1200 and £3500 although, I dont know what they actually sell for. There are a lot of dreamers out there though!!!
My last van, a 4 berth `78 Devon needed bodywork repairing and I sold it for £1000 in 2000. I`ve kicked myself ever since, but needed the money at the time.
