yeah, know how you feel mate. i spent the summer of '06 repairing my van, after it had been standing for a long time.

i managed a couple of weeks in cornwall with it in late august september. then life got in the way again, and the vans garaged awaiting season '07.

gonna be good. especially if we get the summer weather of '06.

06 was wierd for me. I spent till the end of May welding up my camper, and then sold it at the start of June. I got my new one at the end of July, but took till the end of Sept to get registered, so was, by far, the least van driving Ive ever done in a summer .....
Looking forward to having it ready and sorted next year, with some Euro action to boot.
Get Xmas out the way, and I can get some hours in prepping it.

yeah, few little jobs in the spring. i need to replace my lower windscreen bulge/panel, and fit all the new seals i bought last summer. replace the flywheel oil seal, to hopefully cure an annoying oil spatter problem. and make some skinny wheels that'll save me narrowing my beam this summer.

though i don't live there anymore, dubfreeze is in my hometown. so reckon i'll pop down, see the folks and get some bits i need too. yeah, summers round the corner and it should be good.

Ive to gut my interior, wax it manically inside and then refit, maybe with some new wood panels throughout. Need to get rid of a small skylight in the pop top and glass fix that. Underneath needs painting, waxing etc. Rear corner needs tidying up after a rushed repair by PO. Need to get rims blasted and painted. Replace all my seals with new. Loads of stuff thats not that hard, but will be time consuming.

Ive a wedge Camper to sell, and a Caravelle to mechanically overhaul before selling too .....

Plus I owe the Mrs the downstairs cloakroom, at least, as she let me off the DIY hook last year, to concentrate on the van/s.

Weve now booked a Motel for the 'freeze, just to kick the backside out of it. ;)
