I have a small problem, the second piston on my baywindow camper was not firing. so i went through the normal checks with no joy, took the cylinder head off checked the valves to find out that the fuel valve seat/seal has come away from the head resulting in no compression.
After checking with the manual this can only be done at a VW factory :eek: So now I need to find an engineer to refit the seal/seat hoping that it will be less expensive than a 2 litre reconditioned cylinder head.
If any body knows of one near Newbury Berks Id be very greatful :D

Guess what it turns out its a cracked cylinder head any way oh joy. why do things go from bad to worse? now i find out that my lovely camper isn t a real 2 litre but an 1800 which has been bored out. so i now need to buy a new cylinder head and then get it bored out to fit the pistons. does any body know how long it will take for this new head to go the same way and would it be worth my time and money to refit a set of standard 1800 piston and barrels.
