HI,
I'm new to all this forum stuff but have recently bought a 1987 VW transporter Carevelle. Its been wicked the amount of people you suddley meet when you join the VW club!
However my gearbox is knackered and i'm struggling to find a replacement and would rather get a new box or one from a wrek. Its the five speed manual gearbox (think its a the merc z box).
Does anyone have any advice or guidance on how best to get a new or re-cond box? do any cars have the same box? can i use a different box all together?
