theres a whole load of gripes and moans about Vanfest on SSVC forum..I should steer clear..I guess when JK goes back online it will be bursting too tho hopefully a bit more positive!

Vanfest was great for me! No complaints at all :)
I guess when the 'big two' forums reappear then most of the intial gripes will have been forgotten about? I hope so .....

What? Like the cost of food, the state of toilets, dogs etc? Won't be any different from the previous years I bet!

I missed it too this year but made sure I went camping somewhere else so that I didn't mope about at home wishing I had gone!
I'd go again maybe but perhaps as a day visitor. I like the atmosphere there, but not overkeen on camping there.

Man, I thought the forums would be back up before I could say 'muddy Boots is a Homo'.
I've already managed to say it over two million times and still nothing. :(

Undoubtedly.

Yes, I read that, and I also heard about the security alert when one of the childs parents went to get an axe, and the ensuing chaos .... maybe the story wasnt so clear cut? ;)
Vanfest for me was an overwhelming amount of vans, parts, sunshine, dry nights and 99% enthusiastic friendly folk. £35? Bargain!

Flipping heck Even if i was wild camping(which i wouldn't do) i don't think i would carry and axe.

Never camped at Shakespeare Drag Racing circuit then mate?
CCR carries an axe, saw and various hammers and mallets.
I think it stems from an incident when one of the team tried to smash up a pallet with a rubber mallet which just was'nt up to the job.
