Can anyone advise please ? I have a 1988 T25. The brakelights work and pass the MOT okay but quite a firm pressure on the brake pedal is required to operate the pressure switch. So with gentle braking the stop lights don't light up.

Is this normal with the T25,s or should I replace the pressure switch?

If the switch does need replacing can it be accessed without removal of the master cylinder, or is the switch adjustable?

The Haynes manual only discribes removal of the switch after removal of the master cylinder which for obvious reasons I wish to avoid.

Thanks for looking and to anyone who can advise.
