25 wing mirrors - flapping in breeze

I recently replaced the wing mirrors on my 1984 T25. They still have a habit of folding in when I hit 60 mph (which does happen). Has any one else experienced this. As they are a ball and socket joint there seems to be nothing I can tighten.

If you remove them from the door, you will expose a nut that can tightened to re-tension, but aftermarket mirrors will often flap about.
