Hi can any body help me i have a 2.0 aircooled t25 1984 devon My problem is when looking at the engine the tinware at the top has a 4 to 6 ; flap with a []bar attaced to the left this flap operates on The right hand side as you are facing the engine that operated by a cable 1 where does the cable go to i have followed it and it seems to go to the front but then i lose it whats this items purpose all the pictures and discriptions dont say what its the cable can be operated maually by hand but thats not the point its attached to a cable and has a use my guess is that it elevates hot air from te engine so the point is can any body inlighten me to what this flaps job is and can any body tell me where this cable ends up to operate it and last but not leased where can i buy a new cable for it its either broken or seized just campers dont do this cable were can i get one as i have just had the experance of fitting new heater pods and cables which was not fun so any old vw technicians out there who know please advise this moden merc tech needs your imput thanks billy boy
