We've just got a t5 transporter and are thinking about doing a self conversion but we can't find any info about wiring up for electrics. does anyone have a wiring diagram for the various parts we would need and a cheap place to source them. We want to have a leisure battery that would run a couple of spot lights and have two 12v plugs. We also want a couple of 240v sockets from a hook-up system. We also want to charge the leisure battery from the vehicle engine and 240v. Any advice please!

I reckon the t4 owners manual (amazon) would have similar layout. A leisure setup is easy buy a kit for about 15 quid from motor factor or similar. Search for it on google. For the 240 stuff you need to be careful iee.org for better advice mabye but regulations exist to cover this sort of thing so only a competent person should do this job you need to make sure you have correct rcd and cable can carry current demand etc.BS7671 and on-site guide are the books an electrician would use, they are expensive and you should borrow them. Ask a spark he will do it properly, not a housebasher though.dd
