Hello, to one and all!!

I am a campervan virgin (here come the questions!!) and i would be grateful for all the help i can get!

I have decided that i am going nowhere in life, and my first step into my new adventure is to buy a campervan! Im looking to buy a late 70's bay window. In which i will drive from norfolk to cornwall and live in, in the summer of 2005! And then perhaps use it to tour the UK and Europe.

I hope that no one will mind me popping in now and again with some questions........i do subscribe to the magazine :D

Anyway, enough rambling by me, here is my question!

On modern caravans you can connect to an extenal mains supply at most camp sites. Is there anyway to do this with a late 70's bay window???

Also how does the plumbing work when a sink is fitted into a campervan??

Thanks guys ;)

hi there

240v hook up is very easy, just buy a kit, JK do them for about £70-80

And the plumbing al depends on the model of interior and wether anyone has messed with it, but theres loads of ways of doin it.

Where abouts in norfolk ya from, i used to live there :o

Heres some electrical information re electric hook up wiring ...

Thanks to Mike Howles (http://www.specialpatrolgroup.co.uk/spooky/wiring/wiring.html)

Most sink systems are run on an internal water tank basis, which feeds a sink tap, either run by an electric pump, or a pump action type. A few vans have underside water tanks. The systems are simple and easy to obtain parts for most conversions. Biggest issue is manky old tanks full of bacteria.
