1971 bay window VW. Tax Exempt. Immaculate.
Professionally restored (was once used by Mars as a promotional vehicle for Maltessers chocolate, see pics - It is Red, as shown in the second picture, the first picture makes it look pink, but that was a digi camera problem, it never looks that color, it looks the colour of the malteser pic)
1971 early model with oval rear lights and low front indicators and wrap around bumpers. 1600c engine runs very well. Porche alloys, Chrome bumpers, partially lowered, a superb drive.
Outer bodywork is fantastic, no dents, some tiny road chips..
Underneath is very good. In it’s history it has had welding only to the outriggers (nothing structural), the chassis and floor are in great condition. Only concern is small rust now appearing on the usual inside front arches (not affected the outer skin).
Dash, seats and cock pit are in excellent original condition. It’s had a good CD player fitted into glovebox, 2 speakers in the front, 2 big speakers in rear. Rear Interior is clean and tidy, matching red curtains and seat covers, new black hardwearing carpet throughout. The layout is similar to a devon, but there is no gas or electric. It has a removable sink and full width double bed.
Includes safari style custom roof rack (as pictured), and Solar Panel charger to top up the battery.
Since I’ve owned it (1year) its had regular full servicing by a VW bus specialist (Mal at ‘the Bus Stop’), It’s just been serviced and MOT’d in November.
Genuine reason for sale, valued at £6500, will sell for £6000.
Located near Chester. Call Justin 0794 1278026 or email dragonsurf@easy.com
