the price with a refreshed 1600cc motor is £5800... a giveaway! with the 2165 engine and all the associated goodies, add £1500 to that price and yes, if the van sells 'sans engine' I may sell the motor off seperately...

incidentally, the van will be offered for sale as it is or without the engine (for those not keen on high performance type 2s but still looking for a great camper).

2165cc (78x94) type 1 engine - best of everything. fk8 cam, 1.4 rockers, 44idf webers, automoatically controlled fan on oil cooler, elec. ignition, fully ported 044s, full stainless 1 5/8" exhaust with stainless turbo muffler - sounds awesome! very fast and very reliable.

interior:- full danbury spec, retrimmed in orange check a couple of years ago. great conversion, easy to get on with and in great order. porsche steering wheel, gene berg shifter, autometer tacho on dashtop, full cd system with sub box etc. (all hidden), toad alarm etc. etc.
exterior:- full repaint at bob's paint and speed shop a couple of years ago. very straight, no dents. if i was being fussy, there are a few stonechips but that's it... this is a sound, rhd bus. chrome bumpers, clear indicator lenses, smoked rear lenses, german style plates. subtle looks.
mech:- lowered 1 spline at rear, approx 3" front. spax adjustable shocks, drilled discs, all new rear brakes. fully sorted throughout - drives very tight indeed.

wheels are 17" wolfrace VW-replca rims with top notch toyo Proxes T1-S tyres all round. they bolt straight on, no adapters etc. minor kerbing but hey, it gets used all the time!

it's a well-known van across europe (2nd place in the burnout comp at vw euro a few years ago!) and has been at most vw shows this summer. it's very fast and the torque surprises a lot of people yet still drives like a pussy round town. it'll pull in 4th gear from below 30 mph to around 120mph and even my wife enjoys driving it! For sale at a fraction of the build cost...
