Troubles with my bed!

I've got a '73 bay with Dormobile interior and I'm confused about my bed :confused:

It does not seem to work like the rock n roll beds I've seen.... the bench seat is attached by a rod at the top of the seat back and the back and seat parts are hinged together, so as you pull the seat part forward it rises up and flattens to height of the seat back. I therefore assume the four legs stored underneath support it in some way, but I've had little success.

Is anyone familiar with this kind of bed or know where I can get info or better still a diagram? :(

Fortunatly I have a Viking Spacemaker roof which sleeps 3 adults, so don't really need to use it, but it would be nice to know it works.

the bed should be hinged on a rod at the top that enables it to slide along when you lift the bottom up. So you life the seat up (by the bit you would actually sit on) and pull it towards you and slide this along so that the bed rests on the cupboards and or table.
