Hi, we have just bought a type 2 baywindow camper, we've been trawling the internet for insurance companies and it seems that none recognise the van. could someone please point us in the right direction, we heard that classic insurance is cheaper than normal insurance.

Hi there

I was in the same boat. My cheapest insurance quote were from footman james and RA Harper. Both are on the web and will give you a classic car policy (unlimited mileage). Unfortunately they are fixed prices so will not go down with no-claims-bonus (although they will show proof of NCB if you switch to a different insurer). Hope this helps

Hi
Why not try Adrian Flux? Have just insured my t25 with them and their quote was the lowest of the six i tried 150 ish to 370 ish. Big difference, worth shopping around!! Good luck :)

I would echo the above, I found Adrian Flux really good both in terms of price and level of service, I now have my beetle, bus & house all insured with them

I am about to change to Adrian flux from HIc Via volksworld. Befor then my bay was on Tesco third party only as they gave me the longest cover whilst touring europe at that time. THe flux quote was so good i nearly spilt some tea!

Buy a copy of volksworld mag or the new VW Camper mag and there are loads of different insurance companys in there that specialise in type 2 insurance :)
