Give CIS a try. I`ve always found them very competative but phone for a quote as the website will not accept your details. :D

Recently I heard someone had their classic VW and everyday car insured on the same policy for a silly premium. I'm currently paying £30p/mth on everyday drive but am putting 1970 camper back on road in next few weeks, has anybody heard of any insurance companies that will insure both vehicles on the same policy as I can only drive one at a time?!?!

I've used HIC for the past 2 years, and found them particularly unhelpful. I'm trying to sell my VW but they were unwilling to give me a refund for any unused part of the insurance which struck me as being a complete rip off.

Any other insurers do classic motors?

I'm insured with Rob Harper of Redditch. He is a broker who is recommended by the vw type 2 owners club.
I have an agreed valuation policy which is protected (don't lose my no claims bonus in an accident).
I have just had Martha valued by the vwt2oc valuation service.

I just had a quote by Adrian Flux, which was reasonable. Then, to pay monthly, he wanted another £75 over the year.
He lost the deal.

But is it only about premium costs? Clem, or what the policy offers?
I could go cheaper but am happy with what Rob Harper offers me in ins, he is the expert in my opinion. :)

Wise words Dave.
As it was nearly an hour on the phone at this point, Id already almost made the decision anyway.
Ive been with Liverpool and Victoria for a number of years, and theyve always been spot on, so there I remain.

I got a really good quote from a compnay called Footman James:

Waterfall Lane

It's not worth bothering with normal companies.

I insured mine with Adrian Flux.
They were willing to insure the paint job I have just got done on the van. You may have seen it on Just Kampers site. It is the Mystery Machine.
The premium was £190 for the year and an extra £30 or £40 to pay in installments.
I thought this was excellent considering it was insured the previous year with a standard paint job by Swinton for around £320.
Give them a try.
