Hi, I'm new to this forum and currently looking for a bay window camper. I've been swotting up on what I should be looking for, but before I buy I'd like to get a look at some van's first.

Who can point me in the right direction for any shows, meets etc in the NW where I can have a look around to get a better feel?

I'm already worried I'm going to get a complete dog as I only have an initial outlay budget of £2500, but the more I look at the more I'm prepared (I hope).

Thanks.

went to tatton and had a very hot good day
but the prices of buses
it seems 18k is fast becoming going rate to ask for a really good Split and 8K for a top Bay
does anyone actually pay 18K for a bus? if so how can I get a job like theirs
oh well at least I get to take the pics...

Typical - only read the replies this morning so I've missed the show, and its only a short drive from where I live.

But if 8k is the right price for a decent one, I think I'd better leave it if I'm only going up to 2.5k or it really will be an albatross.

Any other shows?

If you wernt impressed by BVF, then you may not like Vanfest. Sure its twice or three times as big, and is Type 2 specific, but what was it that you didnt like?
The showground is the same, and the 'entertainment' is similar ......

Me? I love it, but you may not, I guess, if youre more of a Bug Jam/RTTS person?

no i'm a vw fanatic who doesnt like bad at***ude from show organisers or rip off ticket prices for what was essentially a very small show, ie not many vw related trade stands, nothing realy going on day or evening. the only good point was meeting up with some friends from the north.
