Question Bay Window engine oil

Hi all, i'm looking at doing an oil and filter change on my first 69 bay that i have had for the past 8 months. It has had a new 2L engine put in (in total its had about 4,000 miles). All i know about the engine is that it was imported from the States (by a guy called Ben at VW). Photo attached. The current oil filter is FRAM Racing HP1. Any recommendations on the oil i should be using?

thanks
