Our cover bus is a mint 1957 Samba, restored over eight years in the days before bus and parts prices went loopy, and is about as close to original as they come with over 90% of all replacement parts being NOS! Thought of by many as the epitome of iconic styling and classic looks, the pre ’63 Deluxe Microbus with its rear corner windows, full length sunroof, skylight windows, striking two tone paint and chrome trim and accessories, is one of the most sought after buses. And if you are a Trekkie you may even recognise the location of the shoot! Another mint stock bus is our 1972 Danbury. The original interior has been polished up and looks like new, whilst the cooker has never been used and the grill pan is still wrapped in cardboard together with original instructions!  T3-wise a 1981 Westfalia Joker with distinctive yellow paint / red decals and subtle body styling / modifications blends whilst a T5 finished in Reflex Silver / Raven Blue, harks back to the two tone days. Then we have a 1971 Delta Green Holdsworth Camper; when not being used for picnics in the Lake District or touring Europe, this is a daily driver, and lastly meet Misty, a 1965 Split; Home Is Where You Park is certainly true in the case of this well loved and well used former Microbus.

Travel takes us from Wales to Norway complete with stunning scenery, wild camping and roadside repairs, and we check out the annual Jerome Jamboree in Arizona to see who won this year’s raffle prize of a Double Door Split Panel Van. Closer to home we return to Berkley, the VW show overlooked by a castle. Plus a guide to refurbishing your tinware and all the regulars – on the shelves now!
